Unfortunately, because of the recent heavy rain we have decided to postpone sports day. It has been re-scheduled for Wednesday 13th June with Primaries 1-3 participating in the morning and Primaries 4-7 in the afternoon. Health week will continue as normal this week. |

Each Friday we would like every child to try to bring a piece of fruit for their snack. The class with the most children eating fruit for their snack will get an extra 10 minutes of playtime one day the next week! Come on Wallace - let's get healthy! Click on the fruit to see the latest results! |

Wallace Primary School Greenhill Crescent Elderslie PA5 9AW Phone Number: 01505 322818 E-mail: enquiries@wallace.renfrewshire.sch.uk
Wallace Primary School is the non-denominational school for all primary school boys and girls in Elderslie. The school opened in 1974 and has seven year groups, Primary 1 - Primary 7, in attractive semi-open plan classrooms. Accommodation is on one level, with wheelchair access and facilities. Each primary stage has its own playground area. Within the school grounds there is a netball court and also a football pitch.
There are places for 444 children. No Primary 1 class will contain more than 25 pupils. The present roll is 350. Parents should note that the operational capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and in the way in which the classes are organised.
In keeping with the design of the school your child will not have the same teacher all day, but one teacher will be recognised as your child's class teacher and a point of contact for you. In the present session (2011-2012) there are two classes at each stage in the infant department and Primary 4 and 7. The remaining classes are divided into straight 5 and 6 and composite 5/6.
Wallace nursery class opened in August 2000. The nursery is housed in a separate building within the grounds of the school. At present sixty 3 and 4 year old children attended either a morning or an afternoon session.
